Welcome!

1) I have no information about PLCSim V13 (TIA Portal). If the same API is used, it may be possible.

2) I have not tried it, but I think connection to S7-1200 is possible with some
restrictions. Because Snap7 library is used, please, see http://snap7.sourceforge.net/
(Siemens communications-> The Snap7 theater-> Target Compatibility).

Hello again.
I have downloaded the Snap 7 and I have tried to connect with a PLC S7-1200 with the next results:
1)- The Snap 7 connects without problem with CPU S7-1200. I have used the ClienDemo y the checking have bee very good. I had to use as TSAP Local: 10.00 and TSAP Remote: 03:01.
2)- Equally, I have connected between OPC Kepware and PLC S7- 1200 with the same TSAP.
3) I can connect between Process Simulator and the S7-1200 through Kepware, but I can not connect directly Process Simulator and the PLC S7-1200.
The question is: ¿is it possible modify the TSAP on Process Simulator?
Thank you.

Thank you for your researches. There is no possibility to configure TCAP in Process Simulator now. I plan to release new version next week and, I think, it is possible to add this feature.
I have no access to this hardware. May I count on your help to test it?

Tell me please, what message you receive trying to connect Process Simulator directly to PLC S7-1200? Or, simply, send me log files from PS directory.

Hello,

There are some points about S7-1200 and S7-1500.

1) According to Snap7 documentation, TSAP setting is not used for S7-300/400/1200/1500/WinAC/Sinamics connection. This parameter is only needed for LOGO! 0BA7 /S7 200 via CP243 (Page 37-38).

2) For S7-1200/1500, please use Rack 0 and Slot 0. Pair 0,1 is also good (Page 95).

3) Thank you for log messages. Now, I think, I know where is a bug. New PLC not supports all functions from previous generation. Message “Error reading information about memory size” is the result of calling of unsupported function.

4) Please, try to test new dll library for this connection: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bpj55qq6oc0sstt/Connection.S7IsoTCP.dll?dl=0
Just replace existent.

Hello again.
Now there is a new problem. Once I have replaced DLL file, when I try Add Conection, in the Comunication Manager, the Type S7IsoTcp doesn't appear in the menu, but if I put th original dll on the Connections folder, the option S7IsoTcp is on the menu.
So I can not create a new connection with the new S7IsoTCP.

Added (05.04.2015, 09:07)
---------------------------------------------
On the state bar, on the window of Process Simulator, says: Implementation of connnection no found in file c:\programa files (x86)\process simulator 2\connections\Connection.S7IsoTCP.dll"

This is very strange. I checked this before and all was ok on my PC and on virtual PC that I use for testing.
There is full build of Process Simulator including improved S7IsoTCP connection.

Hello Alexor

Now all is working very well!!!

I have checked the memory zone (I, Q, M and DB) and all is correct.
I have tested with a CPU S7-1214 with firmware 2.2 and it works very well. Also I have tested with other CPU (S7-1214 with firmware 4.0) and It works very well, but it is necessary activate de option called “Permit Access with PUT/GET Communication from Remote”. It is new on the CPU with FW 4.0 or higher.
Tomorrow I am going to check PS with a CPU S7-1500. I hope will work very well, similar to S7-1200.

The PLCSim V13 doesn't work yet, but I think the API is diferente to PLCSim V5. I have tried, but It is not posible.

Thanks and congratulations to you.
Great work!!!

Thank you!
New version of Process Simulator 2.2.5575 released.

I was trying to find information about API for external connection to PLCSim V5, but no results. May be it is not ready yet.

hi,
Can you explain how do it? (please command line or images)

I want to link PLCSim V13 SP1(simulating the cpu v4.1 of a s7-1200 or a S7-1500) with kepware opc (NI opcserver) in the same computer (nettoplcsim not working for the moment with v13)

Thank you in advance

Sorry, now just I found the apps \snap7-full-1.3.0\rich-demos\x86_64-win64\bin I'd try It.

It seems impossible. If you will find any information, please share it.

It seems impossible.
It's possible, (Win7 x64 WiFi connected)

1)TIAP-V13+SP1:  S7-1200, PLC with the PC IP (LAN or WiFi)
2)PG/PC Interface in the Control Panel: S7ONLINE -> PLCSIM S7-1200/S7-1500.TCPIP.1
3)In TIAP create a program and download and go online to check all is working
4)exe NetToPLCSim, push Add Station, network: IP address 127.0.0.1; PLCSim IP address: the IP of the PC; rack 0 slot 1
5)launch OPC eg NI opcserver/Kepware Channel:  IP address, the IP of the PC;   Device: S7-1200 IP address 127.0.0.1
enjoy
pd
6) I try to Simulink link or Process Simulator...
